Returning with their sophomore album, The Remains of the Heart, Pretty in Velvet expands on their electro sound with hard hitting guitars and a rocking attitude. Reminding people of the music of the Faint, Billy Corgan's solo work mixed with Depeche Mode early and a lot of 80's influence, the music tells the story of passion, heartbreak, recovery and all the emotions and thoughts that comes with it.
This album was the second full length album produced by the band. A huge change in their style switching it to have even more of rock overtones.
Featuring the 80's metal guitars of Chris Bickham, the Beat pounding drums of Zombi Mike, and the melodic vocals, passionate keys, and grooving bass of Kage Hopkins, PIV marks their territory with this album as a band with nothing to prove and everything to show
